It’s all about saving lives. The 30 Hour Famine is more than just a nice idea. It’s about joining the fight against hunger - and doing something to help feed and care for hungry kids... All of which makes fundraising kind of essential. Without money for food and other life-saving help, kids don’t eat. Changing history isn’t cheap, and it isn’t easy. But nobody said fundraising has to be all weird and uncomfortable. Use the tips and ideas on this page to meet (and beat) your fundraising goal. Share fundraising ideas with other groups. And don’t forget to use the online Leader’s Center to track your progress. Fundraising Activity IdeasPurple Potty Grab an old toilet and paint it purple. At least one week before your Famine, announce to your church that there’s a purple potty flushing out hunger all over town. More Mini Famine Ask your high school if you can put on a “mini Famine” at your school. At lunch time, get your peers to donate $5 or what they would normally spend on lunch and volunteer to not eat lunch that day. More |
