where will your Famine funds go?
why don't YOU choose?
![]() |
ALERT: In response to the earthquake in Haiti, we've now made Haiti relief and rebuilding efforts available for groups to designate their Famine funds to. See below for full list of countries/communities.
Want to decide where your Famine funds go this year? Choose from a selection of countries where World Vision works and designate your funds to go to a specfic community that YOU choose.
What does this really mean? It means you have the chance to come alongside people in another part of the world. People who need your help. When you select a community for your Famine funds, you're partnering with them in work and projects that will help make their lives better and the future of their children more secure.
So what do you do if you're interested?
First, you must be already be signed up for the 2010 30 Hour Famine (click here if you're not), and you Famine event date must be at least one month away (why?). If you are, below you'll find a list of countries. Clicking on those countries will give you a summary about each one, and at the bottom will be one or two communities (we usually refer to them as Area Development Projects, or ADP's) that are available for you to designate your group's Famine funds to. Clicking on those will take you to a summary about that community, and will include a link to a form for you to 'register' your group as a partner to that community. You can not designate your group's funds to one of these communities without registering here, and you must do so at least one month prior to your group's scheduled Famine date.
For more guidelines on partnering with a community, please take a look at our Frequently Asked Questions section.
Here is a list of countries that currently have communities available.
