Food for Life
Food for Life is one of World Vision's key projects to provide food security to children and families in North Korea. The project will provide daily lunches to children in preschools, kindergartens, and a primary school in Anju and Kaechon of the South Pyongan province, and Dochi-ri of North Hwanghae province. In addition, funding will be used to support existing noodle factories in Anju and Kaechon. A food processing plant will be constructed near villages in the Dochi-ri area. Working with local communities, World Vision will help improve the health of children, and prevent many long- and short-term illnesses associated with malnutrition. More than 47,600 children in the villages of Dochi-ri, Anju, and Kaechon will benefit from this three-year project.
