Hey! I just found out about this awesome youth program called World Vision's 30 Hour Famine. Have you heard of it before? I really want us to do this in 2010.
During the Famine, nobody eats for 30 hours. That sounds like a long time, but I KNOW our group can do this, especially since thousands of other youth groups do it every year (so why can't we?). While we're fasting, we raise money to feed hungry children and do community service projects locally. Talk about being the hands and feet of Christ!
This sounds like an amazing challenge that could really strengthen our youth group and our faith in God. PLEASE sign our group up for this! World Vision will send all the materials for putting on the event, and it's all FREE!

During the Famine, nobody eats for 30 hours. That sounds like a long time, but I KNOW our group can do this, especially since thousands of other youth groups do it every year (so why can't we?). While we're fasting, we'll hang out together for 30 hours and do stuff like play games, raise money to feed hungry children, and do community service projects. We might even be able to build cardboard "houses" to sleep in overnight!
