The youth at First Methodist Midland are going without food for 30 hours to raise money so others can eat! On top of that, we are challenging ourselves spiritually as well as learning about global hunger and poverty. We will start Saturday April 27th at noon and ending Sunday night at 6:00p.m. Join us!
Did you know?
1 in every 9 people in the world do not have enough to eat.
98% of these people live in developing countries. Some live at the mercy of hunger crises like the one that struck East Africa. Others have been forced from their homes, scraping by with that they can find. Still more find themselves caught in a cylce of poverty and hunger, neither of which they can escape.
But when we come together, there's hope. Hunger has decreased by 20% in the past 25 years, thanks to people like you. It may be retreating to some of the hardest paces, but it's still on the run. So let's keep on chasing.
